Our Vision:

Encourage women &  girls to find their voices, create shared power, learn skills, & lead Central Iowa from intolerance to acceptance & celebration.

GEEZ Louise! strengthens, supports and values all women, regardless of their histories and backgrounds. 

GEEZ Louise! provides a safe physical and emotional space for women and girls to explore who they are, learn skills, find balance and then go out and change the world.

Feminism is for everybody! 

Feminism is political , economic and social equality between women and men.

Feminism means women and men have access to the political process and their voices are heard.

(Did you know that Iowa is one of two states that have never had a woman governor or sent a woman to Congress?)

Feminism means women and men earn equitable salaries for equitable work.

(Did you know women currently earn $.77 for every $1.00 that men earn?)

GEEZ Louise! is educating women and the community about the rights and responsibilities of women and men, about the definition of feminism and promoting understanding that feminism is good for everyone!

 

GEEZ Louise! provides advocacy services, direct education, skill building and spiritual programming for women of all ages with an emphasis on high school and college age women.  Community education and monthly awareness activities are held to educate the community on the needs of women and girls.  Direct programming and advocacy services  include but are not limited to: summer and after school programming, intergenerational feminist groups, energy work and skill development activities.

Invest your change… in CHANGE! 

We have a goal to raise $30,000 by November 13th. We would love you to join us in creating change through sisterhood and feminism…invest your change with us. How you view your change is up to you…seek through your couch cushions, find a little money in that winter coat pocket, discover the change in your dryer, or take back your bottles and cans. Your change will be used to provide needed programs in the alternative high school, the women’s prison, local group care facilities and at the safe space that is called GEEZ Louise.
